According to the estimate experts, Fuel prices likely to drop from 16 August 2025 for Petrol may go down slightly to about 4 Rupees per liter and diesel could become Rupees 10 to 12 Rupees per liter. Upcoming Petrol and Diesel Prices Decided in Pakistan

Petrol Relief Was Less Than Expected
Even though petrol prices in the world market went down, the government increased taxes that include levies at the same time which reduced the actual benefit to consumers. and the levy on the petroleum products increased by Rs2.55 per liter and the Total petroleum levy is now Rs78.02 on petrol and Rs77.01 on diesel prices.
- Climate Support Levy is Rs2.50 per liter for both petrol and diesel
- Freight Margin cost of transport Diesel freight margin was increased by 20 paisa now at Rs6.24 per liter.
- Dealer Margin is Rs8.64 per liter for both petrol and diesel
