In the US, the price of crude oil has dropped from $69.26 to $63.48 per barrel, a decrease of $5.71. In the UK prices fell from $71.70 to $65.98 per barrel, also down by $5.72. Petrol Price remained at Rs 264.61 per litre and diesel prices is decreased by Rupees -12.84 per liter to Rs 272.99 per liter  .

آئل اینڈ گیس ریگولیٹری اتھارٹی کی جانب سے 16 اگست 31 کی مدت کے لیے اپنے پندرہ روزہ جائزے کو حتمی شکل دینے کے بعد ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں ایک نئی ایڈجسٹمنٹ نافذ ہو گئی ہے۔ گزشتہ چند دنوں کے دوران عالمی منڈی میں ایندھن کی قیمتوں میں تیزی سے کمی آئی ہے۔ امریکہ میں خام تیل کی قیمت 5.71 ڈالر کی کمی کے ساتھ 69.26 ڈالر سے کم ہو کر 63.48 ڈالر فی بیرل ہوگئی ہے۔ یوکے (برینٹ کروڈ) میں، قیمتیں $71.70 سے گر کر $65.98 فی بیرل ہوگئیں، جو کہ $5.72 تک گر گئیں۔  

Petrol Price Today 16 August 2025 is Given

 OGRA submitted its summary to the Finance Ministry on August 15, with final approval by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. The revised prices became effective from midnight between 15 August and 16 August.

The prices of Diesel, Kerosene oil , and LDO Rates to Decrease and  Today High-Speed Diesel  dropped by Rs -12.84 per liter, lowering the price from Rs 285.83 to Rs 272.99 per liter.

Kerosene Oil also decrease by Rupees -7.19 per liter which is  reducing its rate from Rs 185.46  to Rs 178.27 liter.

Light Diesel Oil also decreased by Rs -8.20, bringing it down from Rs 170.36 to Rs 162.37 per litre.

Levy charges on Petrol and Diesel prices

Even though petrol prices in the world market went down, the government increased taxes that include levies  at the same time which reduced the actual benefit to consumers. and the levy on the petroleum products  increased by Rs2.55 per liter and the Total petroleum levy is now Rs78.02 on petrol and Rs77.01 on diesel prices.

Climate Support Levy is Rs2.50 per liter for both petrol and diesel

Freight Margin cost of transport Diesel  freight margin was increased by 20 paisa now at Rs6.24 per liter.
